About Event

DHAKA INTERNATIONAL MARATHON 2025 is an inaugural Marathon Race by Bangladesh Army with a view to engage students, youths, veterans and all classes of people in active and healthy lifestyle! Bangladesh Army has been organizing large scale Marathon races since 2021. Over the years, the races organized by this prestigious institution has significantly impacted the society and thousand lives to remain active, positive and agile to drive the society to a sustainable future. Bangladesh Army is organizing the DHAKA INTERNATIONAL MARATHON for the first time- exploiting it’s years long expertise, skill and experience. With the kind directive of Respected Chief of Army Staff, Bangladesh Army, the race is going to be organized with an intention to inspire people and involve them more in the physical fitness domain. The race will be a Full Marathon (42.2 KM), a Half Marathon (21.1 KM) and a 10K run at 300 ft road area, Purbachal. Your running track will be consisting of well-connected road network with the variation of multiple bridges. This is an AIMS (Association of International Marathons and Distance Races) certified race.

Cut Off Time: 6 hours 30 Minutes

Registration Fee: 900/- BDT

 General Category (18 yrs and above)

General category consists of all classes of runners. Professionally trained runners, athletes from different training organizations/ clubs, students, unprofessional runners, working men and women are entitled to participate in this category.

 There is no Veteran category in Marathon

Half Marathon (21.1 KM)

Cut Off Time: 4 hours

Registration Fee: 700/- BDT

General Category (18 yrs and above)

General category consists of all classes of runners. Professionally trained runners, athletes from different training organizations/ clubs, students, unprofessional runners, working men and women are entitled to participate in this category

 There is no Veteran category in Half Marathon

10 KM Run

Cut Off Time: 2 Hours

Registration Fee: 600/- BDT

General Category (14 yrs to 50 yrs below)

10K Veteran Category (50 yrs and above)

This category is open for any person ageing 50 yrs and above.

10K First Timers

This category is for anyone participating in a running event for the first time in their life. Minimum age requirement remains as 14 years. Anyone who has ever participated in any race of any distance in home or abroad will not be qualified for this category. This is exclusively for the novices who are running on the track ever first time in any official event. Anyone found during or after the race with any substantial proof that contradicts the registration criteria, would be disqualified.

Each Runner gets:

Finisher Medal | Race Jersey | e-certificate

All standard support provided to runners during a running event- will be ensured This is a running event open to all athletes (professionals and amateurs). Please register accordingly.

·      “expected time to finish” must be filled with accurate information from the runners.

·      Anyone registering in multiple categories, if found before or after the race, would be Disqualified.

·      Anyone not meeting the age criteria Must not register.

·      Make sure that you register for the category and mention your age, tee shirt size carefully.

·      BIB Transfer is strictly forbidden. Anyone found before, during or after the race would be penalized. 

·  The registration fee is non-refundable.
